Taylor Lamberta is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a passion for person centered care. She began her work in the behavioral health field in 2012 after completing her Master’s Degree of Social Work from Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York. Taylor has worked with many diverse populations throughout the years and places emphasis on understanding the varying needs and unique belief systems of all clients.
Taylor believes that it is important to explain cognitive functions and behavioral patterns to clients so that they have increased knowledge around how their brain and thoughts work. With a comprehensive understanding of these concepts, she believes that people can experience relief from symptoms of depression and anxiety and move toward healing. She uses a variety of treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Narrative Therapy, Attachment Based Therapy, Strengths Based Therapy and Mindfulness in her work with clients.
Since all people have their own challenges and struggles, even therapists, Taylor feels that it is important for patients to feel comfortable and encouraged to seek counseling. She enjoys working with individuals and couples and believes that everyone has a variety of strengths and often just need some guidance and support in sorting out their sticking points and improving their overall wellness.
