Shayna Ross, LMHC



Shayna Ross, LMHC is a graduate of Fitchburg State University’s Master’s of Science program in Mental Health Counseling and is a member of Psy Chi, The International Honor Society in Psychology. Shayna has provided therapy for over a decade to children, adolescents, families, and adults in many settings including the community, home, school, and office.

Shayna began her career as an In-Home Therapist at The Counseling and Assessment Clinic of Worcester providing structured, consistent, strength-based therapeutic interventions with the youth and family. Shayna worked as an IHT for five years and has experience with diverse populations. Once Shayna received her LMHC she transitioned to outpatient therapy where she worked with children, adolescents, families, and adults with many different mental health diagnoses. Shayna continues to provide individual psychotherapy for individuals and families who are managing issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, parenting, domestic violence, self-esteem, anger management, conflicts within relationships, life changes, and behavior dysregulation. Shayna has extensive experience working with children and adolescents who have survived traumatic experiences. Shayna uses evidenced-based practices including trauma focused approaches, mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Her approach is client-centered. Shayna has a warm and compassionate presence which allows her to build strong rapport with her clients. Life is full of changes and challenges. Shayna focuses on her clients’ strengths to help them overcome any obstacle they are facing. Her eclectic approach provides a safe environment by empowering individuals to create a balance of emotional and personal growth and goals.

Shayna recognizes each person is an individual and will provide individualized approaches for her clients. Shayna is accommodating, understanding, and compassionate, and will work with you collaboratively to provide the best treatment.

In her free time Shayna volunteers in animal rescue and advocacy. She enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family, friends, and animals.
