Biography

Susie has been a voice and piano teacher since the age of fourteen, beginning in her native Brazil. She has excelled in music instruction and performance, as indicated by her résumé, and has served as an educator and advocate for young people at a consistently high level. Her interest in mental health care was sparked by personal experiences through her teaching efforts. Susie recognizes that her empathy and ability as a teacher and mentor for young people have led her to this stage in her career. As a therapist, she creates a warm and open environment where clients can safely explore and process their emotions, identify personal strengths, and overcome life’s challenges to achieve their goals. She takes an interactive, collaborative, and individualized approach to treatment while utilizing evidence-based therapies. Her sensitivity, empathy, and acceptance help people feel comfortable. She strives to provide a safe, respectful, and healing environment to support her clients’ growth. Susie works with adolescents and adults and she is fluent in English and Portuguese.
