Biography
Shai places a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship, offering person-centered care that helps clients feel safe, respected, and genuinely heard. She takes time to understand each client’s interests, values, beliefs, personality, and lived experiences in order to provide thoughtful, individualized support. Shai works with individuals ages 14 to 70 and offers services both in person and via telehealth. Her clinical approach is grounded in Psychodynamic Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, helping clients gain insight into the origins of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She also incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, mindfulness, and psychoeducation into her work. Shai completed her practicum and internship at Arbour Counseling Services in Lowell, Massachusetts, and went on to accrue her clinical hours toward licensure at NorthEast Health Services in Foxborough, MA. Following the completion of her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Criminology and Criminal Justice from Merrimack College, she worked at the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office in Medford, Massachusetts, where she developed an enhanced understanding of the trial court system and a passion for supporting individuals involved in the legal system. She is committed to providing ethical, compassionate, and clinically sound care, with the goal of supporting each client’s growth, insight, and overall well-being.
