Biography
Janell Burley Hofmann, BA, MA, MS is a post-master’s mental health counselor, author, international speaker and consultant. She brings over 15 years of experience working with adolescents, families, schools and communities at the intersection of mental health, interpersonal relationships and collective needs.
In her clinical work, Janell specializes in couples therapy, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), suicidality, family systems, life transitions and identity development. Her approach is eclectic, strengths-based and relational, drawing on multiple therapeutic modalities to meet each client’s unique needs. She emphasizes positive connection, resilience, and growth and is known for her ability to create trust and safety while both nurturing and challenging clients, helping them access their own insight, strengths and capacity for change. Janell is also trained in EFCT as a foundation for her work with couples.

Janell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, a Master of Arts in Critical and Creative Thinking and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has lived on Cape Cod for over 20 years, where she and her husband have raised their five children.
