Sarah Souza, LMHC
Sarah Souza is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has worked in a variety of clinical settings including community mental health agencies, schools, residential treatment facilities, and in home therapy programs. Sarah has over 15 years experience in the mental health field. Sarah graduated from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2013 with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. Sarah also holds licensure as a school adjustment counselor in Massachusetts.
Sarah believes in the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship as a foundation for successful treatment. Sarah incorporates the family system in treatment with both children and adolescents when appropriate for a systemic approach. Sarah utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to address a multitude of client needs such as ADD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, self-harming behaviors, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, and self-esteem issues. Sarah believes in supporting clients to live a healthy lifestyle-both in mind and body.
