Monica Leger, LMFT
Monica Leger, LMFT is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She is familiar with and practices a variety of techniques that help individuals, couples, and families uncover underlying issues and works collaboratively to implement a plan to change maladaptive behaviors. She can provide guidance to help rebuild and repair relationships. Also, her training and experience includes working in home, school, outpatient office, and inpatient residential settings. In these settings, she developed a foundation of skills for clients to apply to everyday life stressors and more traumatic experiences.
Monica specializes in trauma receiving training in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), and Attachment Self-Regulation and Competency (ARC). She utilizes a systemic approach to her work with individuals, couples, and families while incorporating various modalities including but not limited to Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Monica enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families who struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and substance use. Monica has a passion for working with First Responders inclusive of active or veteran military, law enforcement, firefighters, EMT’s, and corrections officers. Monica understands it is difficult for clients to handle concerns such as loss, relationship conflict, anxiety/PTSD, or addiction along with many other problems that impact their health and well-being. She strives to provide the best care for all clients to learn the tools to better manage distressing times in order to live a fulfilled, balanced life.
