Mimi holds licenses in Mental Health Counseling and School Adjustment. She is the clinical coordinator for a high school transition program helping teens reintegrate into school following medical or psychiatric illness. She has extensive experience working with court involved youth and adults, facilitating anger management and diversion groups. As a therapist, Mimi embodies unconditional positive regard for her clients which she believes is the foundation of any therapeutic relationship. Mimi maintains a meditation
practice and enjoys incorporating mindfulness into her treatment. Some of her training and certifications include Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
Mimi is interested in helping people understand the interaction of mind-body processes. As a certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist, Mimi has over 30 years of experience working with chronic pain sufferers. Her expertise has included consultation with the Stanford University Pain Clinic, the US Ski Team, and numerous Olympic level athletes. Mimi has worked in conjunction with Physicians, Physical Therapists and Dentists in providing pain relief for their clients. Mimi enjoys the challenges of many muscular issues including back pain, headaches, neck pain, TMJD, Carpal Tunnel and more, and helping people live a pain free life.
