Domenica Rizza, LICSW
Domenica is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who enjoys working with teenagers, adults, families, couples, and groups. She graduated from Simmons University with a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) with a concentration in Trauma and Interpersonal Violence. Her experience includes working in community and hospital settings providing individual therapy, group facilitation, in-home therapy, psychoeducation, case management, and supervision to undergraduate and graduate students.
Domenica’s work is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She believes in enhancing a person’s ability for sustainable coping skills and self-care while also building emotion regulation and communication skills to further one’s own empowerment and wellbeing. These skills are applicable to everyone from teens to elders and whether they are trauma-related or not. Domenica has helped clients manage various issues related to anxiety, depression, substance misuse, anger management, PTSD, complex trauma, LGBTQ, boundary issues, self-esteem, and relationships.
