Brittany Sannicandro, LMHC
Brittany is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and has over 8 years of experience working in the mental health field. Throughout her professional career, Brittany has primarily helped adults with severe mental illness by providing therapeutic services in both the community and group home setting. She also has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient therapy, residential programs, and community mental health agencies. Brittany attended Assumption College in Worcester, where she earned her graduate degree in Counseling in Psychology with a concentration in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She also has training in Motivation Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), gender identity, and substance use.
Brittany has experience offering therapeutic services for people managing issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, grief and loss, sexuality, interpersonal conflict, stress management, significant life events/transitions, self-harming behaviors, emotional and behavioral dysregulation/disorders, and/or general life struggles. She incorporates evidence-based therapeutic approaches with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness strategies with a person-centered approach. She believes it is important to develop a therapeutic relationship and encourages you through compassion and empathy to improve your overall well-being.
